Category I: Reduce/Reuse/Recycle/Use of Renewable Resources at School
1. The School/Students reduce use of resources
2. The School/Student coordinate a recyling promgram for:
-office paper -newspapers/magazines
-plastic water bottles -computers & electonic wastes
-cardboard -fabric/clothing
-metal/cans -batteries
-Cds/DVDs -printer cartridges
-cell phones -glass
3. The School/Students composts food/organic wastes at school.
4. The School/Students conducts a Waste-Free Lunch Program.
5.The School/Students adopt a policy of buying recycled, biodegradable, locally produced, and/or less toxic food, school supplies, ect.
6. A project (designed by school) is approved by country coordinator before the application deadline each year.

11. Students are involved in a project or event to promote vehicle fuel efficiency.
12. The school sponsors an alternitive energy presintation, project, or event.
13. A project (designed by school) is approved by county coordinator before the application deadline each year.

18. Students participated in a local community envoimental issue by doing activities such as: letter-writing, attending public hearings, raising finds to protect land, community outreach/educatioin, ect.
